Working Principle Of High Shear Emulsifier
Creams and shower gels in the cosmetics industry, sauces, juices, mayonnaise, etc. in the food industry. Ointments in the pharmaceutical industry. Emulsifiers are used in petrochemicals, coatings, paints, inks, etc. Applications of mixing, stirring, dispersing, homogenizing, emulsifying and grinding required in experiments or industrial production processes. Do you know how an emulsifier works?
High Shear Emulsifier Working process:
Upper homogenization
1. Under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotor, the material in the figure is sucked into the working chamber from the upper and lower feeding areas of the working head from the axial direction at the same time.
2. The strong centrifugal force throws the material radially into the narrow and precise gap between the stator and rotor. At the same time, it is subjected to centrifugal extrusion, impact and other forces, so that the material is initially dispersed and emulsified.
3. At the outer end of the high-speed rotor, a linear speed of at least 15m/s is generated, and the maximum can reach 40m/s, and strong mechanical and hydraulic shear, liquid layer friction, impact tearing are formed, so that the material is fully dispersed, emulsified, homogenized, broken, and ejected through the stator slot at the same time. The emulsifier shears, disperses and impacts the material through the high-speed rotation of the homogenizing head connected to the motor. In this way, the material will become more delicate and promote the dissolution of oil and water.
4. The material is continuously ejected from the radial direction at high speed, and the flow direction changes under the resistance of the material itself and the container wall. At the same time, under the action of the upper and lower axial suction forces generated in the rotor area, two strong rolling turbulences are formed. The material undergoes multiple cycles and finally completes the dispersion, emulsification and homogenization process.
