What Is A Sanitary Pump
Sanitary Pump is a classification of pumps based on the occasions where they are used, specifically involving the delivery of all products that come into contact with the human body, such as pharmaceuticals, dairy products, beverages, food, cosmetics, food additives, fine chemicals, etc. There are four basic types of sanitary pumps, centrifugal, volumetric, jet and air transport. Centrifugal pumps use centrifugal force to generate speed, use rotating impellers to increase speed, and push the fluid through the outlet valve.
From the material of the pump, the sanitary pump must be 316L stainless steel; there is no sanitary dead corner in the pump cavity, and it can be CIP online cleaning; the sealing material is food-grade material, such as nitrile rubber, fluororubber, EPDM, Teflon, etc.
From the type of pump, centrifugal pumps, rotor pumps, self-priming pumps, shear pumps, screw pumps, etc., as long as they meet the above requirements, can be called sanitary pumps. Among them, the impeller of the centrifugal pump must be an open impeller to be a truly sanitary pump.
From the perspective of industry standards, sanitary pumps must obtain US 3A and European EHEDG certifications, and the materials must comply with FDA standards.
This series of pumps is a single-suction, single-stage, centrifugal sanitary pump, suitable for conveying various liquids such as milk and wine, and is an indispensable conveying equipment in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The maximum temperature for single-machine seal is about 120 degrees, and the maximum temperature for double-machine seal is 150 degrees. Among them, high-lift pumps are particularly suitable for use in systems with large resistance such as tubular sterilization, yogurt temperature holding equipment, and CIP cleaning.
Sanitary pumps are also known as centrifugal beverage pumps, milk pumps, and stainless steel beverage pumps. They are suitable for conveying milk and other colloid-like liquid foods. The maximum temperature of the absorbed material is 70-80 ℃. This pump is a single-suction fully enclosed centrifugal pump.
